I designed and wove a series of painted warp networked twill scarves. This is a close-up of one of them. I wrote a post about a few of my painted warp projects at this link.
You can find photos, drafts, and notes of this runner and other warp rep projects I did this year at this link.
I wove this double weave runner using 3-block profile draft No. 169 from Mary Meigs Atwater’s classic book, The Shuttle-Craft Book of American Hand-Weaving, first published in 1928. It is a gift for my friends who are antique dealers of early American folk art.
I used networked drafting to design and weave this 16-shaft double weave wall hanging. The edges of the patterns in networked double weave are fuzzy and not as sharp as the ones in traditional double weave like in the runner shown before.
I designed and wove the above 16-shaft networked double weave fabric and made a pillow from it. For drafts, notes, and more info about it click here.
